We like a video here at The Black Flag and when that video involves one of the UK’s best up and coming fresh bands we get a bit restless, so with an excited glint in my eye and a bit of blood in the old fella I clicked the YouTube link and was blown away by yet more greatness from this young group.

Featuring guest vocals from Dean Wright of Inverted Overlook, who lends his talents to the song’s rousing hook, mixing his tones effortlessly with the golden-voiced Jo Cachia who’s pure and angelic vocal peformance is the perfect answer to Manuel Chowdhury’s opening verse. ‘Stars’ is woven together intelligently with the feeling of a band that has many more years experience under their belts, with great vocal and musical performances that culminate in yet another superb offering. Frontman Manuel says:

After releasing our last song, we felt it was important to return to the style we were best known for, and felt most comfortable with.
In terms of inspirations, and writing the song, it’s a situation most have been through, or experienced in some capacity, boy loves girl, girl loves boy, nothing in the world is perfect etc etc. From the moment go, this song had to be kept as bare as possible. As a group we love that raw, stripped feel we hope the track delivers.

The video is simple and fits the mood of the track perfectly, showcasing the band performing, stripped back and bare just like the track. It’s beautiful in it’s simplicity and shot with a real sense of love for the music.

For the fans of Urban Prophecies, and we know there’s lots of you have a watch of the video below and show you support, let the band know you love them and they will keep on treating us with great music. Catch up with them on Facebook and download the track along with others for free on their website.
